King Edward VI Community College

With the appointment of a new Principal, King Edward VI Community College (KEVICC) wanted to develop their marketing, use their resources effectively and help their staff display their remarkable curriculum.

The Context

Following a recent Ofsted inspection the Principal, Kate Mason wanted to raise the profile of KEVICC’s achievements to parents, students and the local community. KEVICC is much more than people realise and has ambitious plans for the future. Students do not wear uniform but KEVICC has a rigour and ambition to help its students explore, discover and succeed.

The Solution

Chocolate Dog Marketing Services undertook a marketing audit, reviewing KEVICC marketing activity and communications. A marketing strategy and plan for 2011 – 2013 was developed. Regular meetings were held with a number of College Staff to monitor and evaluate progress. PR training was provided to the member of staff tasked with PR supported by coaching to develop efffective media releases. A  PR Plan was developed producing regular, significant media profile.
